When to Plant Bowl Lotus Seeds

Bowl Lotus seeds can be planted in spring, summer, or early fall. These stunning flowers typically thrive in warmer soil and temperatures, which help stimulate their growth and blooming. Additionally, they require a good amount of sunlight.

Where to Plant Bowl Lotus Seeds

Bowl Lotus thrives with a minimum of 4-5 hours of abundant sunlight per day. It's best to place them in a sunny study room or on a well-lit balcony. Once the sunlight requirement is met, they can flourish in full sun or any shady spot inside your home.

How to Plant Bowl Lotus Seeds

You can directly choose to carry out hydroponics in water, or you can use pond soil, riverbed soil or ordinary plant nutrient soil for planting. These soils are rich in organic matter and are conducive to growth.

Must read

1、Notes on soaking seeds: First, use a disposable cup or bowl to soak the seeds. Secondly, use only clean water and avoid adding any debris. The water depth should be around 8 to 10 cm. Place the seeds in a sunny place and change the water once a day until germination. After germination, it is enough to change the water every three to five days until the roots grow to about two centimeters. At this point, you can prepare the pot and soil for transplanting. Avoid planting when roots and leaves are underdeveloped.

2、Container: Choose a container with a diameter of about 25 cm and a height of 10-20 cm. The soil can be a mixture of pond mud, garden soil and aquatic plant mud.

3.Fertilize: Do not fertilize initially. Start fertilizing once the plant has more than six leaves. Fertilize once every 10 days, but the amount of fertilizer applied each time should not exceed 10 grains.

🌸IMPORTANT: Before sowing/soaking in water, use sandpaper or a sharp knife to open the seeds as shown below.
